Company History
In 1942, our founder Gomaz Manikpura started Royal Paints Stores as a retailer in ICI decorative paints, DUCO automotive paints and Chinese Lacquer. In 1956, the business name was extended and became “New Royal Paints Stores”, consequently acquired the business registration as a retailer.
In 1946, our business became the first Authorised Dealership/Agent for CIC paints (now CIC holdings) in Sri Lanka.
In 2004, the name of the business was extended to become a private limited company and named “New Royal Paints Stores (Pvt) Ltd”.
In 2007, the business expanded and added a sister company known as “Royal Distributor”.
Royal Distributor
Royal Distributor is an independent wholesaler/ distributor for paints, chemicals and accessories, and is partnered to New Royal Paints Stores (Pvt) Ltd. Currently operates within Kandy city and surrounding areas.
