Preparation: Its best to remove loose or defective varnish from previous coating. Treat areas affected by mould or algae with a bleach solution of 230 grams each of bleaching powder & washing soda mixed in 3 gallons of water. Allow 48 hours to dry, then wash and clean the surface (Clean any dirt, grease or wax). Once after drying use a fine grade abrasive paper to sand along the grain to smooth any rough texture. Ensure the surface is free from sanded dust. Once preparation is completed apply a suitable wood preserving agent.
Application: This product is ready use. Stir well before use. Apply brush strokes evenly and avoid overlapping between strokes. Apply strokes along the grain to achieve the best results. Two coats are normally sufficient, although a third coat is strongly recommended. Clean brushes with Dulux Thinner or Turpentine.
Drying time: 16 – 24 hours, Full Cure: 24 hours.
Coverage: 18 – 20 square meters per litre.
Cleaning Up: Clean equipment and remove splashes from surfaces with Dulux Thinner 850-5. remove slashes from skin with a good proprietary skin cleanser – do not use thinners, solvents, petrol, etc.
